MISSION STATEMENT

"Because all children deserve excellent teachers, the Golden Apple Foundation advances teaching profession by recognizing excellent teachers, leveraging their thinking and efforts to improve education, recruiting and preparing prospective teachers with special emphasis on schools of need, and providing teachers access to innovative resources."

IMPORTANCE
Recent studies have shown that there are few qualified teachers in the profession, with great emphasis on the lack of minority/bilingual teachers. In order for teachers to be role models, it helps for them to have had similar experiences. Through this concept, students and teachers interaction level would increase.
